Aloft Hotel Chicago (Architectural Photograph)

It truly is a pleasure to be an architectural photographer in Chicago. Sometimes when I am out shooting on assignment, the light hits a building in a really beautiful way – in this case, it is the new ALOFT hotel on Clark Street. The sun was log and lighting up the screen at the top of the building. Just like the architect imagined? Let’s go ahead and think so. I had to take the photo – for no other reason that it looked beautiful to me.
