The plaza of this Mies van der Rohe building was renovated in 2014 and offers new sweeping curves that contrast the boxes of the buildings. The large setbacks of the Mies buildings begs for furniture and it’s nice to see this large plaza finally have a purpose. In addition to the Illinois Center Plaza, we were also contracted to shoot some interior spaces for promotional purposes.
In the joshpabstphoto series of before and after, the first image in this set, 111 E Wacker, was actually taken on a very overcast day with an all white sky. See how we did it.
